Caring Ministries

Stephen Ministry
St. Paul's trains and utilizes Stephen Ministers in its ministry of caring. Stephen Ministry is grounded in Jesus' command to love one another. Through one-to-one caring relationships, those who are hurting or struggling with personal problems can receive love, care and understanding from a trained Christian caregiver. Everyone goes through difficult times. If you would like help in getting through times of confusion, stress or loneliness, perhaps you would benefit from the care of one of our Stephen Ministers.

To inquire about receiving care from a Stephen Minister, or if you are interested in receiving the training and joining us in this vital ministry, please call the church office or talk with one of our pastors.  St. Paul's has had an active Stephen Ministry program since 1995. In this time we have trained over 50 Stephen Ministers to serve as caregivers to those in need. We currently have 5 members who have become Stephen Leaders by going through the Leadership training program.

Grief Share
St. Paul's sponsors a number of Grief Share groups throughout the year. Grief Share is a special weekly seminar/support group for people grieving the death of a loved one. It's a place where you can be around people who understand how you feel and the pain of your loss. Through video testimonials and small-group sharing, participants will experience the healing power of Christ's love. Grief Share can be thought of as a journey from mourning to joy. It consists of 13 sessions. New people are welcome to join at any time. More information on the program can be found at www.griefshare.org. Please call St. Paul's church office to find out dates and times of our current sessions.

Helping Hands
St. Paul's organizes its members to provide basic assistance to other members in a time of need. Helping Hands volunteers may bring a meal, provide a ride or do a small project as they are able. To be put on a list of those giving or needing assistance, please call the church office.
