Sunday School

Sunday School

We love Sunday School!  Come and join us!

Saint Paul's Lutheran Sunday School is committed to creating an active learning environment for children from preschool age through 12th grade.  (For adult classes on Sundays and other days, please see the "Bible Classes" page.)

We are "Evangelical"-- we share with the children the life-changing Good News of God's love for all people in Jesus Christ.  We are "Biblical"-- we teach that the Bible is the true, inspired Word of God.  We are "Confessional"-- we teach Lutheran Confessional theology in age appropriate ways as an accurate reflection of God's revealed truth in scripture.  We seek to model Christian Stewardship by sponsoring service projects each year as well as collecting offerings which are used to benefit mission work in our community and throughout the world.

The 2010-2011 Sunday School begins on Rally Day, September 12, at 9:30 AM.  Sunday School is offered every Sunday of the school year from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.  To register your child, please download and complete the registration form attached below. Please mail or drop off completed forms at the church office. Paper copies of these forms are also available in the church office, and in the Narthex of the church.

Classes for elementary ages and younger will teach lessons from the Old Testament in the Fall and New Testament in the Spring. We use the Growing in Christ curriculum from Concordia Publishing House.  Bible stories engage and challenge your children, all the while developing a foundation of faith that will benefit them for a lifetime.  Junior High and High School classes cover a variety of topics throughout the year. Most classes meet in the Education Building, beginning with an opening gathering for Preschool through 6th grade each week in room #9.

Special events each year include a Rally Day celebration in September, Children's Christmas program, Advent wreath making, Epiphany celebration, Spring Sing, and year-end celebration in June.  We often hold an Intergenerational Sunday School during the month of July.
