Communion Distribution Change

Starting October 15, St. Paul’s will adjust its method of distributing Holy Communion at its worship services. Those who prefer to receive the elements at the foot of the steps, according to our recent practice, should come forward first and commune at that place. Those who prefer to receive at the altar rail may come forward when the pastor moves into the chancel. Also, we will no longer ask that communicants from the pulpit side of the aisle come first. Both sides may now come forward at the same time. These adjustments will be evaluated in the weeks to follow and changed if there is need. Thank you for your input on this issue, especially via the communion survey this summer. And thank you for your understanding as we try to accommodate all our member’s needs.
